spent the evening walking the riverside. petals everywhere, half stuck to the wet pavement. came home, made tea, opened the editor and didn't write anything for an hour. that's the good kind of empty.

kana-engine v0.3 — design notes mood: nerdy

reworked the trie. lookup table is now generated at build-time so the runtime hot-path is just an iterator + a switch. -1.2kb gzipped. wrote the README in furigana for fun.

found a 14" pvm at a recycle shop in nakano. carried it home on the train like a baby. boots up. shows a desktop. i could cry. now my pixel-village project finally looks correct.

scrapped everything. starting again, table-shaped, cream backgrounds, dotted borders, no frameworks. it should feel like a room, not a feed.
